1. Download the ‘Mstick4_Recovery_Tool’ from the Mgears website.

2. Once the download is complete, extract the contents of ‘Mstick4_Recovery_Tool_v0.0.0.zip’.

3. In the extracted folder, go to Mstick4_Recovery_Tool_v0.0.0 > usb driver and install ‘Mediatek-Drivers-Install.dat’.

3-1) Click on ‘Mediatek-Drivers-Install.dat’, and when a window like the one shown above appears,
press any key on your keyboard to proceed with the installation.

3-2) If a User Account Control popup appears, click ‘Yes’ to continue.

4. Run ‘Mstick4_Recovery_Tool.exe’.

What is Windows Defender Smartscreen

4-1. If a SmartScreen popup appears, click ‘More info’, then select ‘Run anyway’.

4-2) If a User Account Control popup appears, click ‘Yes’ to continue.

5. Select your language and click the ‘START’ button.

6. Review the firmware version and important notes, then click the ‘Download Firmware’ button.
※ All data on the Mstick will be erased during the update process using the Mstick4_Recovery_Tool.
Before updating the firmware, please back up any important data to a separate storage location.

7. The firmware will be downloaded and automatically extracted.
(This process may take some time depending on your internet connection and system environment.)

8. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Mstick4 to your PC, then click the ‘Start Update’ button..
※ If the button does not appear due to an unrecognized connection, please reconnect the device to your PC.
It may take about 5 to 10 seconds for the connection to be recognized.

9. The update process will begin.

※ Do not disconnect the Mstick from the PC until the entire process is complete.

10. The recovery has been completed.
